MSCI Mackinaw Island Spring Conference

SCHEDULE:

Friday, May 21 through Sunday May 23, 2010

Departure:

Please arrive at Western no later than 6:45 AM Friday morning.  We plan to be on the road by 7:00 AM.     

Return:

We should be back to Western at approximately 5:00 PM on Sunday.  Students will call parents/guardians 15 minutes before arrival back to school.

Grand Hotel

Mackinaw Island,  MI   

Food:

Five meals are included.  Two gormet dinners and breakfasts as well as a box lunch on Saturday during the tournament.  Everyone will be responsible for lunch on Friday and Sunday to and from Mackinaw City.

Dress Code:

The Grand hotel has a strict dress code after 5:00 P.M..  Women must be in a dress or pant suit and men must wear a coat and tie.  During the day, students may wear comfortable cloths, but must still be presentable at all times.  There is a formal ball after dinner Saturday night.  Girls often wear formal dresses such as a homecoming or prom dresses.  Boys can wear tuxedos, suits, or a coat and tie.  Pack for all climates.  I have seen it snow, rain and be warm and sunny...and that was all in the same trip!

Visual Aids/Stools/Supplies:

Students must either take all needed supplies home with them Thursday night and bring them back Friday morning OR leave them on stage.  Students are responsible for all of their supplies.
